Change of Seasons

As the midwest hardwoods change color with the approach of Fall, so do brown and brook trout as spawning nears. This Mad River (OH) brown is just starting to color up. Another month or so and it will be lit up in full spawning display. As habitat improvements continue on the Mad, succesful natural reproduction will become more common.
